THE SELFISH BOSS
He wakes up every morning on his own time. When visitors arrive, they knock endlessly while he listens in silence, offering no response. If he is married, it is usually the wife who answers and tells them to wait—“He is coming.” How long you wait does not matter to him. Meanwhile, your effort, hope, and energy slowly drain away.
All he wants is control. In the process, your life plans begin to crumble, and without realizing it, you keep losing.
When it comes to payment, he never pays in full. He gives you only ten percent—just enough to keep you tied to the position. His goal is simple: make sure you cannot leave the workplace. This kind of boss, the philosopher boss, is an enemy to many people across the world. Only a few choose to do what is right.
For beginners, the trap is subtle. They allow you to take part of your payment before the deadline. At first, it feels like support, but soon you are caught in a cycle of stress and dependence. The idea of leaving to make better choices becomes increasingly difficult.
This philosophy of leadership is not very different from politics. It is a system designed to let a few survive while the rest suffer under unrealistic promises and false beliefs. Deceit becomes the foundation.
And that is the greatest enemy you must learn to confront.
